3 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI single in Friday's 7-5 victory over the Texas Rangers. Cruz got the scoring started in the first inning with an RBI single, then later ripped another base hit at 114.8 MPH, the hardest-hit ball of the game. The veteran slugger has now recorded a hit in five straight games, batting .450 with two home runs and five RBI during that span. He'll look to keep rolling against Rangers' lefty Kolby Allard. Cruz owns a career .964 OPS against lefties compared to a .845 mark against righties.--Tim Capurso
