Riley Greene Just Misses Cycle At Double-A
4 years agoDetroit Tigers prospect Riley Greene came close to hitting for the cycle on Saturday after going 3-for-3 with two walks. He hit a double, triple, and home run but missed the cycle after taking free passes in his final two at-bats — which also showed a mature approach. The 20-year-old outfielder has been on fire lately with nine hits in his last four games. He produced a solid .850 OPS in May after jumping over A-ball to open the season in Double-A, but his OPS in June is up to .974. He's also shown an improved approach at the plate with less swing-and-miss to his game. Greene is ranked by Rotoballer as the sixth-best dynasty prospect in baseball and should arrive at the MLB level in 2022.
