3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga recorded his seventh win of the season in Sunday's defeat of the Oakland Athletics. Loaisiga came on in relief of Jordan Montgomery with two runners on base and quickly got a pair of groundball outs to put out the fire. He then pitched another scoreless frame and was in line for the win when the Yankees took the lead. Loaisiga has just a 21.1 percent strikeout rate but has been a master of inducing weak contact this season, as evidenced by his 2.0 percent barrel rate, 84.2 MPH average exit velocity, and 21.6 percent hard-hit rate. He remains an underrated fantasy baseball reliever.--Tim Capurso
