3 years agoOakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in a loss to the Rangers on Monday. The sophomore backstop has been hitting better lately as he has three homers in his last five games. His batting average is still not where fantasy managers want it to be at just .215 and he's also walking 8.5 percent less than last season which has hurt his on-base percentage as well. Murphy has power upside in two-catcher leagues or 15-plus team formats, but he's not a must-roster catcher in standard-size fantasy leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
