Pete Alonso, Jonathan Villar Sitting For Mets
3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is out of the starting lineup Tuesday night against Braves righty Charlie Morton. Alonso has been showing his usual power this season, though his slash line sits at .227/.292/.364 over the past seven games. Infielder Jonathan Villar is also on the bench against Atlanta. Dominic Smith is playing first base and batting cleanup, while Luis Guillorme is manning the hot corner and hitting seventh. Smith, who is hitting .246 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 20 games in June, is the much more attractive DFS gamble on Tuesday evening. Guillorme only has 55 plate appearances in 2021 and doesn't have a home run or RBI to his name.
