Taylor Widener Throws In Simulated Game
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taylor Widener (groin) threw in a simulated game on Wednesday, tossing 23 pitches throughout just one inning. The righty has been out for over a month now because of a strained groin. However, he appears to be making progress as he has also recently been participating in bullpen sessions before the artificial outing. Nonetheless, Widener could be due for a rehab assignment, which is good news, but with the team down several members of the rotation, Matt Peacock and Corbin Martin should continue to get some extra chances on the bump, although neither man is worth much from a fantasy perspective.
