3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit went 1-for-5 with an RBI single and three strikeouts in Wednesday's win over the Kansas City Royals. Voit struggled through his first four at-bats but came up huge in a clutch spot, winning the game for New York with his RBI single in the ninth. While his three strikeouts Wednesday were certainly not ideal, Voit has looked good at the dish in two games since returning from the injured list, going 3-for-8 with a home run, a triple, and two RBI. He'll get an excellent matchup on Thursday against Royals righty Brad Keller, who owns a 6.34 ERA and 1.75 WHIP this season.--Tim Capurso
