Matt Olson Flashes Wheels With Second Stolen Base
3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson went 2-for-3 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in a win over the Rangers on Thursday. That wasn't a typo; the big first baseman stole his second base in the last week after having just four career steals coming into this season. As fun as it is for fantasy managers to get steals from players like Olson, the real reason he's such a fantasy asset is his elite power. Olson has 20 homers on the season and has a .healthy .603 slugging percentage. What's more impressive is he provides incredible power while striking out under 20 percent of the time and sporting an 11 percent walk rate to give him a .302 batting average and .383 on-base percentage. Olson is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.
