Jed Lowrie Cracks Sixth Homer Of 2021
3 years agoOakland Athletics second baseman Jed Lowrie went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the Rangers on Thursday. Lowrie knocked in Ramon Laureano in the first inning with a single to give Oakland a 3-0 lead. He wasn't done the, however, as he launched a moonshot homer that Statcast measured at 433 feet. Lowrie has settled in nicely in Oakland, now in his third stint with the organization. He's batting just .242, but he's got a strong 11 percent walk rate which has led to a .324 on-base percentage. Lowrie won't provide a ton of power, but he's a solid 2B option in 15-plus team fantasy leagues or those that utilize a middle infield spot.
