Tony Santillan Strikes Out Eight In Win
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tony Santillan turned in an excellent start in a 5-3 win over the Atlanta Braves on Thursday. Santillan allowed just one run over six innings while striking out eight and walking three. The rookie's only mistake on the evening was a first-inning solo homer off of the bat of Freddie Freeman. He earned the win on Thursday night, the first of his big league career. Santillan has now made three starts for the Reds and has allowed five earned runs while striking out 16 over 13 2/3 innings of work. Santillan is worth a look as a streamer going forward, although he does draw a tough matchup against the San Diego Padres next.
