Brad Brach Earns Save On Thursday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Brad Brach threw a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 5-3 win over the Atlanta Braves on Thursday. Brach struck out two and allowed one hit on the way to earning his first save since the 2018 season. The veteran reliever should be in line to pitch in more high-leverage situations with Lucas Sims expected to miss at least a month with an elbow sprain. That being said, look for both Tejay Antone and Amir Garrett to also be in the mix for save chances, limiting Brach's upside in fantasy. On the year, the 35-year-old has a 2.51 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 18 strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings of work.
