Jarred Kelenic Homers Twice At Triple-A
3 years agoSeattle Mariners prospects Jarred Kelenic went 2-for-3 with two home runs, two walks, and drove in four runs on Thursday. The outfielder now has hits in 11 of his last 14 games and has homered five times since being demoted back to the minors on June 8. He hit just .092 with a 12 wRC+ in 23 big leagues games but has been solid at Triple-A with a .278 average, seven homers, and a 113 wRC+ in 19 games. The 21-year-old is setting himself up for another shot at the major leagues in the second half of 2021 if he continues to have strong at-bats. Kelenic is ranked by Rotoballer as the second-best dynasty prospect in baseball behind Wander Franco.
