Travis Blankenhorn Called Up From Syracuse
3 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Travis Blankenhorn was recalled from Triple-A on Friday. The 24-year-old, who was optioned just two weeks ago, will suit up for another stint with the big club after Jonathan Villar (calf) was placed on the 10-day injured reserve. The 24-year-old hasn't done much outside of Syracuse, compiling just one hit throughout seven at-bats in the majors this season, so fantasy managers looking to fill a void caused by Villar's absence should certainly look elsewhere.
