3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman Matt Adams (elbow) has been cleared to "ramp up his intensity" in his throwing program and should be ready for a rehab assignment soon, per beat writer Danielle Allentuck. This is good news for Adams, who's on the IL with a strained right elbow, as he hadn't been cleared to hit or throw just three days ago. He's been out since June 8 but it sounds like he could make his return to the club within a week or so if he doesn't experience any setbacks. The veteran slugger is batting just .161 with a .451 OPS across 31 at-bats this season and is still looking for his first home run. He can be left on the waiver wire whenever he returns to the Rockies.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
