3 years agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Ryan Brasier (head, calf) has been cleared to return to baseball activities, per beat writer Pete Abraham. Brasier was struck in the head by a line drive during a simulated game at the Red Sox training facility in early June. He was already rehabbing a calf injury while he sustained the head injury. He should start to ramp up his throwing program and could be ready for a rehab assignment within the next week or so. He could be roster worthy in hold leagues but it's best to wait and see how he looks once he rejoins the club. He hasn't pitched in a big-league game yet this season.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
