3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Zack Britton (hamstring) will be placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday. Britton tweaked his hamstring while finishing a pitch during Friday's game and had trouble exiting the field, though the Yankees believe he's dealing with cramps rather than a strain. Manager Aaron Boone said that the southpaw's hamstring felt better today and that he is hopeful it will be a short stint on the injured list for Britton, who has appeared in just five games this season for New York. Albert Abreu will be in the New York bullpen on Saturday for the contest against the Boston Red Sox. As of now, it appears that Britton will spend the minimum amount of time on the sidelines.--Tim Capurso
