3 years agoColorado Rockies infielder/outfielder Chris Owings went 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout in a 5-0 shutout loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. The Rockies couldn't get much of anything going on Sunday, collecting just four hits--all singles--as a team. Owings was able to reach base in one at-bat with a walk but didn't come close to scoring in the lopsided affair. The 29-year-old utilityman was activated from the 60-day IL back on June 22 after missing over two months with a left thumb sprain. He batted .533 (8-for-15) before getting hurt back in April but is just 0-for-7 with a 5:1 K/BB ratio since rejoining the club. He doesn't hold much fantasy value as a part-time player and he'll take away at-bats from players like Garrett Hampson and Brendan Rodgers, which dings their fantasy potential as well.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
