Ketel Marte Placed On Injured List With Hamstring Strain
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Ketel Marte (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reported. Marte exited last Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers after the first inning and was later diagnosed with a left hamstring strain. A hamstring injury caused the 27-year-old to miss nearly a month earlier in the season as well. This most recent trip to the IL is no doubt a disappointment for many fantasy managers, since Marte was batting .370 and his on-base percentage was on the rise. Marte's absence has opened up the door for Pavin Smith, who pencils into Monday's lineup against Wade LeBlanc and the St. Louis Cardinals. Smith is hitting .276 on the season with 75 hits, 25 RBI and five home runs on the season. Marte needs to be stashed everywhere.
