3 years agoBoston Red Sox utility man Kike Hernandez hit a leadoff home run for the second consecutive day Monday, this time taking Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Danny Duffy deep. It was his eighth home run of the season. For the game, Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a walk. He's now raised his season OPS to .713 and has been sneakily productive over his last 15 games, slashing .236/.323/.527 with three homers, eight runs scored, and 10 RBI in 55 at-bats.
