3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in a 2-0 win over the Pirates on Monday. Diaz added a crucial insurance run in the bottom of the fifth inning when he took Pittsburgh starter Tyler Anderson deep to put the Rockies up 2-0. He also walked in the contest. The 30-year-old backstop has really struggled this season with a .167/.254/.270 batting line to go along with three home runs and 10 RBI over 126 at-bats. Neither he nor Dom Nunez has been able to assert themselves as the everyday catcher for the Rockies, and both are batting below .200. Neither player has any fantasy value.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
