Julio Rodriguez Has Two Hits In Double-A Debut
3 years agoSeattle Mariners prospect Julio Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a double and two strikeouts on Tuesday. The 20-year-old was recently promoted to Double-A after producing a 171 wRC+ in 28 games at the High-A level. He also produced six home runs, five steals, and a 10% walk rate. Rodriguez is neck-and-neck with Jarred Kelenic for the top prospect in the Mariners system. Rotoballer has him ranked as the third-best dynasty prospect in baseball behind Tampa Bay's Wander Franco and Kelenic — both of whom could lose their rookie eligibilities by 2022. That would then push Rodriguez to the top of the pack due to his advanced bat and impressive raw power.
