3 years agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada (hand) is expected to miss the team's weekend series against the Detroit Tigers, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reported. Moncada exited Thursday's game against the Minnesota Twins after bruising his right hand while trying to slide into third base. The good news for fantasy managers is that Moncada, who is hitting .280/.403/.394 this season, is expected to return to the lineup next week when the White Sox visit the Twins on the road. Andrew Vaughn came in from the outfield to replace Moncada, but there's no word yet on if he will remain at third base if Moncada is out multiple games. Vaughn went 2-for-3 with one run scored against the Twins on Thursday.--Chelena Goldman
