3 years agoNew York Mets first baseman/outfielder Dominic Smith went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in the Mets 4-3 loss to the Braves on Thursday. Smith now has eight homers and 31 RBI on the season to go with an underwhelming .249/.319/.384 slash line over 245 at-bats, following a breakout campaign in 2020. Smith's bat does appear to be heating up, with him having gone 5-for-12 over his last three games. Having said that, fantasy managers in shallow formats should continue to leave Smith on the bench until he starts hitting for power with more consistency over a longer period of time.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
