3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Sean Manaea allowed four runs on nine hits across five innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Thursday. Manaea walked one and picked up six strikeouts, but he was plagued by the long ball as he gave two homers in this one. The right-hander is having a strong season overall as his 3.13 ERA is supported by a 3.20 FIP and a 3.65 xFIP. He's got 102 strikeouts across 97 2/3 innings, the first time in his career he's been a strikeout-per-inning pitcher. He'll have the occasional bad start, but Manaea has established himself as a must-roster fantasy option who should be started in most matchups.
