Struggles Continue For Francisco Lindor
3 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor is slashing just .120/.185/.200 with no home runs, one RBI, and one stolen base over his past seven games (25 at-bats). It has been a brutal season for Lindor, his first with the Mets, as he is slashing just .213/.304/.357 with nine HR, 26 RBI, and seven steals over 76 games. These numbers are a far cry from his All-Star seasons with the Cleveland Indians. At times when it appears Lindor is finally breaking out of his season-long slide, he falls back into long hitless droughts. When going well, Lindor is a true five-category threat. However, his hot streaks have been few and far between for fantasy managers who expended a top draft pick on Lindor this past spring. Despite his poor performance in 2021, fantasy managers likely have no choice but to keep Lindor active in the absence of a decent replacement at shortstop. Hopefully, he can get his bat going in the second half of the season and put these struggles behind him.
