3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Jeurys Familia (hip) was activated from the 10-day injured list on Friday. Familia suffered a right hip impingement on June 21 but had a very successful rehab assignment and was activated on the first day he was eligible. The 31-year-old right-hander has a 3.63 ERA and one save on the season with 24 strikeouts but has also recorded 15 walks in 22 1/3 innings pitched. His numbers began to dip last month and he was credited with a loss back on June 13 after surrendering three hits and four earned runs. Unless you're in a league that also rewards points for holds, Familia can remain on the waiver wire.--Chelena Goldman
