3 years agoColorado Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland took a no-decision on Saturday when he allowed three hits and three walks with three strikeouts over six innings in a 3-2 win over the Cardinals. Freeland put up his best start of the season on Saturday against the Cards, scattering three hits and three walks over his six innings without allowing a run. Neither team was able to score until the seventh inning so he took a no-decision but it was a solid effort nonetheless. He hasn't allowed an earned run over his last two starts and has notched two quality starts over his last three games. He still owns a disappointing 5.50 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, and 29:16 K/BB ratio on the year but that's due in large part to his shaky start. He seems to be turning the corner on his year though. He'll get one more start against the Padres on the road before the All-Star break.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
