Trevor Larnach Comes Off Bench And Homers
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielders Trevor Larnach went 2-for-2 with a solo home run in the Twins 6-3 loss to the Royals on Saturday. Larnach was initially on the bench to begin the day with the Twins facing lefty Danny Duffy. He was called upon to pinch-hit for Gilberto Celestino in the sixth inning and remained in the game to play left field. The homer, his sixth of the year, was Larnach's first since June 22. Over 151 at-bats on the season, the 24-year-old is hitting .258/.358/.437 with six homers and 15 RBI. With the Twins scheduled to face righty Brad Keller on Sunday, expect to see Larnach back in the Twins starting lineup. He has been hitting the ball hard over the past few games and, having cleared the fence on Saturday, he could make for a sneaky DFS play on Sunday.
