Avisail Garcia Not In Monday’s Lineup
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Avisail Garcia (hamstring) is not in the team's lineup on Monday. Garcia missed three games last week due to left hamstring soreness. He played in both of the team's games against the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend, registering five hits, five RBI, a pair of doubles and a run scored in 10 plate appearances. He won't be starting as the Brewers open up a series against the New York Mets to begin the week, with Tyrone Taylor starting in right field as part of manager Craig Counsell's lineup. It looks like this won't be an extended absence for Garcia, and more just the Brewers being cautious. Counsell expects Garcia back in the lineup on Tuesday. Taylor, who is hitting .236 with a .326 on-base percentage, six home runs and four stolen bases in 141 plate appearances this season, gets the start against Mets right-hander Tylor Megill. He could be worth a look as a streaming option if you're desperate for outfield help in daily fantasy or deeper leagues in season-long formats.
