Nomar Mazara Has Enjoyed A Productive Last Few Weeks
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Nomar Mazara has 11 hits in his last 42 plate appearances dating back to June 14. That's good for a .306 batting average. The 26-year-old has also collected four RBI, three extra-base hits and two runs scored during that span. It's a rather small sample size, but it's a positive sign for both the Tigers and fantasy managers that have Mazara on their roster. The outfielder is hitting just .213 on the season with a .283 on-base percentage and three home runs in 166 plate appearances. Given his overall struggles this year, Mazara is only a candidate to be rostered in deeper leagues. That being said, if he continues to hit like he has in the last few weeks, he might be worth a look for managers in desperate need of outfield reinforcements in shallow leagues.
