3 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (hamstring) and outfielder Taylor Ward (finger) will be out of the lineup on Monday against the Boston Red Sox, manager Joe Maddon said. Rendon left during the sixth inning of Sunday's 6-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles with left hamstring tightness. Rendon has been sidelined multiple times this season with different ailments and is only hitting .240/.329/.382 with six home runs and 34 RBI in 58 games. However, he has been heating up recently, hitting .304/.500/.565 with a home run in his last seven games. Ward was also injured Sunday and like Rendon, he is considered day-to-day.--Chelena Goldman
