3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Trevor May worked around a hit pitching a scoreless eighth inning in the Mets 4-2 win over the Brewers on Monday. May picked up his seventh hold of the season in the outing, his tenth straight scoreless appearance. After a rough start to the season and a few rough appearances in early June, May has been locked in of late. He has lowered his ERA to 3.03 over 31 2/3 innings pitched on the season. May also owns a 1.20 WHIP to go with 42 strikeouts. May, along with Seth Lugo, is one of the primary setup men in the Mets bullpen to closer Edwin Diaz.
