Sammy Long Getting An MRI On Tuesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants left-hander Sammy Long (back), who was placed on the injured list on July 5 with a lower back strain, is getting an MRI on Tuesday to determine the severity of his issue. Long struggled in his previous two starts with the Giants so the back injury may have had something to do with it. His timetable for a return is currently unknown but we should found out more once his MRI results come back. The 26-year-old southpaw owns a 5.63 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 25 strikeouts over 24 innings (five appearances, three starts) this season.
