Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Connects For 28th Homer
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. crushed a 438' bomb for his 28th long ball of the season, but it wasn't enough as his team fell to the Orioles 7-5 on Tuesday. The former top prospect also chipped in with a sac fly that would have went for extra bases if not for a nice catch in the outfield by Austin Hays. Guerrero is up to a stellar .336/.436/.678 slash line with 67 runs, 71 RBI, and two stolen bases through 83 games as he continues to be one of the best bats in the majors in his age-22 season. The 2021 All-Star will be chasing not only MVP votes in the second half, but a shot at joining exclusive company of past Triple Crown winners.
