Chris Bassitt Plagued By Long Ball In Houston
3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Chris Bassitt allowed six runs in 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Tuesday. Bassitt allowed eights hits and a walk while chipping in six strikeouts to salvage some fantasy value. The right-hander will have nightmares about Houston outfielder Yordan Alvarez, who went 3-for-3 versus Bassitt including launching a grand slam in the fifth inning to end Bassitt's night early. This start was unpleasant for fantasy managers, but Bassitt still has a strong 9-2 record with a 3.41 ERA and a career-best 26 percent strikeout rate this season. He should be started in all leagues on Sunday at the Rangers.
