Jake Arrieta Gets Shelled In Loss
3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jake Arrieta struggled in Tuesday's loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. The veteran got rocked over 1 2/3 innings and allowed six hits, seven runs, two walks, one hit by pitch and struck out four on the evening. Arrieta had a 2.57 ERA over his first five starts this season, but it has been downhill since then. Over his last 12 starts, Arrieta has an 8.55 ERA. The veteran has really struggled in his second go around with the Cubs and he should be left on the waiver wire in all formats. Arrieta is now 5-9 with 6.30 ERA with a matchup lined up against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday.
