Jon Gray Punches Out Eight In No-Decision
3 years agoColorado Rockies right-hander Jon Gray took a no-decision on Tuesday when he surrendered three runs on six hits with one walk and eight strikeouts over six innings in a 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks. Things looked like they could have gone very poorly for Gray as he started the game off by giving up four-consecutive doubles to the D-Backs' first four batters. As a result, three runs came across the board but he settled in after that, only allowing four more base runners over the next five innings. The big right-hander has now recorded back-to-back quality starts and owns a 3.94 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 73:32 K/BB ratio over 80 innings (15 starts) for the season. He's been a solid fantasy arm so far.
