Daniel Bard Struggles In Loss To The D-Backs
3 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Daniel Bard took the loss on Tuesday when he allowed one run on one hit with two walks and a hit batter over 1/3 of an inning in a 4-3 loss to the D-Backs. This was a very poor outing for Bard, who was tasked with preserving a 3-3 tie when he entered in the bottom of the ninth inning. He surrendered a pair of walks and a single to load the bases before hitting David Peralta with a pitch to force in the game-winning run. He only recorded one out and was saddled with his fifth loss of the season as a result. He now owns a 4.29 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, and 47:18 K/BB ratio over 35 2/3 innings. He's still the reliever to own in Colorado.
