3 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado went 3-for-4 Tuesday against the Washington Nationals, scoring three runs and collecting an RBI. The newly minted 29-year-old stung two doubles on his birthday to continue his extended run. Since June 1, Machado has hit in 24 of 32 games, batting .324 with nine homers. After an uneven start to 2021, Machado is now slashing .268/.351/.488 with 15 dingers, nine steals and 109 runs-plus-RBI over 333 plate appearances. With his elite batted-ball skills and balanced fantasy contributions, he's a worthwhile candidate as a top-5 player at the hot corner entering the second half.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
