3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Trent Thornton has been optioned to the minors on Wednesday. The 27-year-old righty pitcher will head to Triple-A Buffalo after posting a 4.78 ERA over 37 2/3 innings with the Jays this season. The Jays recently acquired right-hander Trevor Richards, so Thornton was the odd man out. There's a good chance that Thornton will return again at some point, but won't be worth stashing.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
