Justus Sheffield Lands On The 10-Day Injured List
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Justus Sheffield (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday night. The move comes after the southpaw was routed by the Yankees on Tuesday, allowing six runs and five hits while walking three batters. The 25-year-old is currently sitting on an unimpressive 6.48 ERA and an equally hideous 5-8 record on the year, so his absence likely won't impact fantasy managers too much. Erik Swanson (groin) was activated from the IL in a corresponding move and may take on a more prominent role moving ahead while Sheffield is on the shelf.
