3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Keston Hiura went 0-for-2 with a strikeout in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the New York Mets. Hiura started at first base and hit seventh against Jacob deGrom in game 1. He went hitless with a strikeout over his first two at-bats before the recently acquired Rowdy Tellez pinch-hit for him. Tellez started Game 2 as well while Hiura rode the bench. The 24-year-old is just 4-for-24 (.167/.310/.167) with three RBI and a 12:3 K/BB ratio over his last seven games. He looked like he was turning things around in late June after his second call up but he's back to his old swing-and-miss ways. Overall, he's batting a meager .159 with a .547 OPS to go along with four home runs, 17 RBI, and two stolen bases over 151 at-bats. Fantasy managers will always be tantalized by his power upside but he's already started to lose playing time to the aforementioned Tellez.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
