3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Taylor Trammell went hitless in three at-bats Wednesday against the New York Yankees, striking out twice. Trammell has shown plenty of flashes this season, with eight home runs and two steals in 156 at-bats, but he's put up a .160/.256/.359 slash line which is hardly playable. Most importantly, he's struck out 75 times in those 156 at-bats. It seemed that his brief demotion to Triple-A had put him back on track, but that no longer appears to be the case. Success with that strikeout rate is simply not sustainable, and fantasy managers in all but dynasty leagues have to look to other options.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
