3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Garrett Hampson went 0-for-6 with four strikeouts in a 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday. Hampson started in center field and got to hit out of the leadoff spot while Raimel Tapia moved to second in the batting order. He did not reward manager Bud Black for making that lineup switch as he went hitless with four strikeouts. The speedy 26-year-old is now slashing .247/.298/.416 with six home runs, 21 RBI, 12 stolen bases, and a 70:18 K/BB ratio across 267 at-bats. Hampson's speed will always intrigue fantasy managers but he has just two stolen bases over the last 30 games as he continues to do what he always does, struggle to get on base and strike out too much.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
