3 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher James Karinchak allowed an earned run on two hits while striking out two in the top of the ninth of Thursday's 7-4 win over the Kansas City Royals. Karinchak gave up a solo home run to former Cleveland Indian Carlos Santana, which tied the game at four in the top of the ninth. The consolation here is that Franmil Reyes hit a walk-off bomb in the bottom half of the ninth inning, which gave Karinchak the win. Karinchak had been pitching very well recently as he had not allowed an earned run in his previous six appearances, so hopefully, this is just a blip on the radar.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
