3 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Zach Plesac allowed three earned runs on five hits while striking out four in his four innings of work in Thursday night's 7-4 win over the Kansas City Royals. Plesac pitched relatively well aside from allowing home runs to Carlos Santana and Hunter Dozier in the fourth inning. Some rust was to be expected in this one as he had not pitched since May 23rd. He was on a pitch count of 60 pitches and that is the reason he was lifted after 55 pitches and four innings of work. He will now be sent to Arizona to get further stretched out and will rejoin the rotation after the All-Star break.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
