3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers clubbed his sixth homer of the season in Thursday's victory over the Detroit Tigers. Jeffers' homer registered an expected batting average of .850, thanks to a 25-degree launch angle and 103 MPH exit velocity. The 24-year-old backstop has shown what he's capable of with a full-time catching role, though he has come back down to earth since his red-hot start to June. Mitch Garver (groin) is inching ever closer to a return, though the Twins are likely to deploy something like the near-even split between the two catchers that was utilized earlier this season. That would lower Jeffers' value in most redraft formats, though managers in keeper leagues should keep an eye on him moving forward.--Tim Capurso
