3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell (illness) is going back on the 10-day injured list on Friday with gastroenteritis. The hurler was scheduled to take the mound for a start at home against the Colorado Rockies, but his stomach issues have returned. He returned from the injured list and made his July 4 start against the Philadelphia Phillies, but he only threw four innings. The team called up pitching prospect Reiss Knehr to start in Snell's place on Friday, but fantasy managers will obviously want to avoid him since he hasn't pitched above Double-A. Both the Padres and fantasy managers will be hoping for a bounce-back second half from Snell after he pitched to a 4.99 ERA in 70 1/3 innings in the first half. The former Rays stalwart struck out 93 and walked 44. He'll need to get healthy first, and then he'll need to throw more strikes to be effective and productive in real life and in fantasy.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
