Heath Hembree Strikes Out The Side During Fifth Save
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Heath Hembree threw a scoreless ninth inning in a 2-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday. Hembree struck out all three batters he faced and was credited with the save in the contest. The veteran reliever has become an integral piece of the Cincinnati bullpen of late, having picked up four saves and posted a 2.08 ERA in the month of July. Overall, Hembree has a 2-4 record, 4.97 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, five saves, and 50 strikeouts over 29 innings of work. Considering the struggles of the Cincinnati bullpen this season, Hembree has made a compelling case to take over as the primary closer on the team. He needs to be added in fantasy leagues where he's available.
