Brandon Nimmo Reaches Base Three More Times Friday
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a walk in the Mets 13-4 win over the Pirates on Friday. Nimmo just continues to hit following his July 3 return from the injured list due to a left index finger injury. He is batting .385/.429/.500 over 26 at-bats since his return with three doubles, five RBI, and seven runs scored. Nimmo should continue to perform as an elite place setter with a solid batting average and on-base percentage, who can also contribute in the runs and RBI categories. He should be active in all formats, particularly in leagues with on-base percentage as a scoring category. He also makes for a great DFS play on Saturday and Sunday, with the Mets playing three games against Pittsburgh (including a Saturday doubleheader) facing starters Tyler Anderson, Max Kranick, and Chase De Jong.
